Star Rating Presentation
29-01-2009
In November 2008 The Institute for Trade Skills Excellence (The Institute) held a presentation ceremony for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) who had recently completed the Star Rating Scheme evaluation and received ratings.
The Star Rating Scheme recognises high performing schools and faculties within RTOs with a One, Two or Three Gold Star Rating. The Star Rating Scheme has been developed by The Institute to make it easier for students, parents and career counselors to identify RTOs which have been recognised at an industry level within their field of interest. Employers too, are able to assess the quality of trade skills training that graduates hold from RTOs rated within The Star Rating Scheme
The RTO Directors and Trade Teachers were presented with their Star Rating Scheme plaques by Brian Wexham, Chief Executive Officer of The Institute
Praise for the Star Rating Scheme was high from all the RTOs, with all of them stating they had found the experience valuable and the fact they were rated and recognised by industry was key to The Scheme.
Lorraine Baff from Flexible Construction Training & Assessment said "The visit back in February from The Star Rating evaluators was an invaluable experience for us at FCTA. I am of the firm belief that the advice and guidance that they gave us at that time was a pivotal factor in us gaining the SA Small Trainer of the Year 2008".
"It is great to have such positive feedback from the different RTOs and to know that they are gaining strong benefits from participating in The Scheme" said Brian Wexham, The Institute's CEO.
The following RTO's were recognised in the respective courses:
| Flexible Construction Training & Assessment (SA) | Two Gold Star |
